Costs Tab – Procedures Module

The Costs tab lists estimated costs for labor, parts, and other costs. You can also designate tools required for completion of a procedure. Totals for all estimated costs are displayed at the bottom of the page. Both total costs and total charges are shown. The estimated costs entered for the procedure are automatically populated onto any associated work order, typically through a preventive maintenance schedule.

Costs are displayed from the following categories:

  • Labor — Costs associated with labor estimated for the procedure.

  • Parts — Costs associated with the parts needed to complete the procedure.

  • Other Costs — Other costs associated with the procedure, such as the rental of a piece of equipment or travel expenses.

  • Tools — Tools required to complete the procedure are displayed on the estimated costs page, so that they can be displayed with the other material used. Since tools are borrowed rather than purchased, there is no immediate cost.
